No. Your card opens in their phone's browser, and they save you to their contacts in one tap. They can also send their details back to you, with no sign-up wall.
When someone sends their details back through your card, they go into your own Connections contact book. There is no contact limit on any plan, free included.
You set how often you want to keep in touch with each person. A daily email lists who is due a follow-up, along with birthdays and job changes, and the Today view shows the same reminders.

There is no direct import from Blinq, Popl or HiHello. You can import contacts from Google Contacts, an Apple vCard file, a CSV or LinkedIn, so if those people are already in your phone, you can bring them in from there.
